Esso at Kingsway/Willingdon lowered their price overnight to $1.93. Lucky for me, as I was looking to fill up and so I did. Many other stations were up to $2.33 - yikes!

Yeah, I would have filled up regardless, but I am not saying no to saving $20 along my commute. I will use the savings to enjoy TWO pieces of Cheesecake Factory sweets tonight!

Peak Oil isn't some statistical failure, it's a reality of physics.

The methodology is reasonable. But they focused on supply, when really it's demand that will (or did) peak.

Just like whale oil, and coal.

Peak oil demand isn't as much of a world crisis as peak oil supply, though. It's really just bad for oil producers (so Alberta and by extension Canada).

This is an old post but we are now paying the worst gas prices in all of NA. Everyone I talk to thinks it is a total rip off. Gas is at least a buck cheaper in Alberta. Someone somewhere is making a ton of cash on these inflated prices.

I filled up in the states the other day, it ws 4.85 USD/gallon, if we converted it right it works out to 1.70/Litre Canadian. The car next to us had BC plates and they were filling up two large gas cannisters.

Gas does vary however, some places in Bellingham were over 5.50/gallon

I filled up at the Fred Meyer a few weeks ago and it was $3.96/G converted to $1.39/L Can

yea last time we were down a few months ago it was around 3.85. apparently, there is a problem with the Cherry Point refinery there in recent weeks and it is where Vancouver gets its gas from hence the recent rise.

The west coast should have way more refining capacity like Edmonton so we can also pay $1.39/L.
