Oh, I'm not worried about people being out out on the streets. More about the loss of solid townhouse stock and the architectural history. "Quad" townhouses are unusual. The units themselves trade around $1.4 million which is chump change compared to what you pay for a new townhouse along a busy arterial like Oak. There's a whole swath of Quilchena just north of King Ed to 16th which is full of
banal and
ugly SFH from all the postwar periods. Its far more deserving of being blown up for density.
That what makes me curious: is Colliers offering these as a result of a strata assembly gone wrong? Individual units have sold recently, so it isn't like someone is hellbent on buying them all up. Is someone unwinding their play, or just trying to get it started?
