Nice shots RDW989 post #1060

Not a rooftopper, to soon , once the crane is at max height I'll have the camera setup for the early morning hours (most likely a Sunday morning) to capture a daredevil.
Here are top climbers doing some maintenance and inspection work on Aug 22nd.

Great shots thanks. The facade is clearly more complicated than average and is taking some time to go up but it's nice to see the steady progress now.

Ya it really is.
This tower gives me thoughts of Miami and Rio.

It occurred to me that with the undulating panels, the curved forms of the 2 (4) cylindrical towers may not be clearly defined when viewed from a distance.

I saw this project in person on Saturday and man does it looks both impressive and amazing! What an exciting addition to the skyline and the scale is impressive.

Too bad the nearby area seem to have deteriorated quite a bit from the time we lived there. Nelson Park is nowadays home to several tents and wow are there many people drugged out around St. Paul's.

The eventual redevelopment of St. Paul's will be a significant change for the area.

Nelson park has a few tents set up under the trees, but the park is still very lively on the weekend and in the evenings with families at the playground, people and their best friends at the dog park, and the farmers' market on Saturdays. Like almost every park in Vancouver, tents started appearing a few weeks ago when the clearing of Hastings began.

Just an observation. No workers in the tower today.
The man lift was running at 7:30am then at 7:40am the crane operator exited his cabin and left.

11am today

Are those marks on the panels something they can clean off?
