The Aldred building I find more beautiful because of it's clean simple lines and proportions, while the commerce building is grander and more impressive due to its larger size. But both are top tier.

Aerial of the uptown Saint John NB peninsula.

EDIT: I see that NewIreland has already posted this in the "under a million" skyline thread. Sorry about that.

I find the tower too thin one way and two wide the other which skews the proportions. The architect did as best of a job he could working with those dimensions. In any case, I'm more of a brick guy. Marine Building is a near flawless example of brick. I wish some or most of the setbacks at the top were two storeys increasing the overall floor count.

Wow... NB cities are Rad. Some gorgeous heritage buildings in that (suprisingly dense) shot.

I grudgingly admit that this...

Yeah, that second in particular is one of the best Calgary shots I've ever seen.

I can't see a single flaw with the Aldred building, proportions or otherwise. Same for the Marine building. Although the Marine building has a spectacular lobby, whereas Aldred's is more subdued.

The Sun Life Building is probably my fav in Montreal. Not really tall but looks big and grand at the same time.

Nothing too exciting, but while I was crossing back from the dark side, I was stuck in Traffic on the Alexendria bridge, so I thought that I would take a couple of snaps..My wife put in her request for Parmesan fondue cheese squares while I was over there..They are delish, and as you know happy wife = ??
