I don't get anti-Philly trolls who live in the metro area. If their desires were fulfilled and the city fails, then all of the suburbs and exurbs that surround it will be less well-off. Nearly as much as Philadelphia needs a strong region, this region needs a strong Philadelphia. After all, tourists aren't coming from far and wide to see Aston, Cherry Hill, Bensalem, Smyrna, and Elkton: they're coming to immerse themselves in all the city has to offer. The stronger a city Philadelphia is, the more attractive the entire PA-NJ-DE-MD becomes.
