There will be an identical logo on the south side, waiting for EllisDon to finish their work

I mean it's an interesting concept when the architecture is adapted into a piano but this just looks like a tacky cluster****

Quote:
OSO’s architects have covered the instrument with a staggering 450 100mm x 100mm mirrors, each 1mm thick. These sit on 2.5mm steel rods which vary in length up to 300mm, and point in varying directions. The overall effect is much like that of a cloud.

The Cloud Fazioli is covered with 450 square mirrors on all sidesThe mirrors represent the large square panels of the building and, like the tower, the piano’s appearance changes dramatically depending on the angle viewed.

I had a look at the vines next to Royal Bank a while back and they seem to be growing up behind the steel mesh,
so it looks like the vines will be secure and hopefully they'll poke out the openings.

They're opening in Seattle as well, I guess in another Westbank project.

More surprised they didn't have some kind of seating next to the glass.

Yeah, I noticed that too, like a counter with stools looking out the window.

PS - anyone else think the panelling at the back looks out of place?

It seems like one or two trees along Homer and one next to that rotunda are already dead. Once the parking lot next door gets redeveloped it'll be interesting to see how the vines/trees handle the lack of sunlight.

this city is infuriating.

constantly "we planted X trees" "developers planted X trees" but then within a few years they're all dead and never replaced!!! and since no one follows up no one knows/cares. its terrible.

Saw those today.
2 or 3 are definitely dead. One more on its way there.
