Note the ceiling pattern.
It matches the frieze on the mid-block passage, which is EVERYWHERE around the project.
Empty retail entrance - apparently unleased (so not Meinhardt's).
Same frieze at the bottom of 2 water features.
LIGHT STRIP UP THE SPINE!!!
Would make a good cafe location:
Light strips on the curves.
Looks like a rain curtain waterfall on the left into a pool.
Not sure why the flashing needs to cover the column cap next door (?).
Looks really sloppy and I don't know how the strata next door would have allowed that.

GENESIS 1:3, and it is good. They just put it up, on Wednesday I did not see it.
I see the office entrance lights are on, I'll post a nighttime shot of it (hopefully still illuminated) tonight.
I'll keep an eye on the spine for maybe an unexpected lighting test.
Bright white, I though it was going to be a softer gold or amber colored lighting.
More paneled ceiling in the alleyway entrance/walkway/breezeway
This light strip will be able to display all kinds of multi-color patterns. At the top, I don't see the strip completed or connected yet. (edit: I do see one more electrical box near the top to be utilized)
This afternoon 3pm, installation complete.
I will know when the strip is turned on, there is a good reflection of One Burrard (at night) on the windows of the building across my street.
Also this webcam False Creek Live Stream from the Fuel Dock! will show us the light feature of One Burrard.
Are LED stripes always so chunky and visible? Not a very stealth installation.
At least the LED is straight and doesn't follow the contour of the concrete fin itself.
Look how it is straight, but always not centred.

Yes, the light will reflect of other buildings. Do the testing on a Friday or Saturday night.
They must start by being very very settle and gentle, "no big sudden movements"
I'm hoping for decent intensity like on The Arc (which may have similar units, since these also look segmented).
Hopefully it won't be dimmed down so you don't even notice it (like Telus Garden).

Not sure of the straightness and following the centerline based on the picture but a protruding installation like this is bound to have smudging from rain. Maybe they will pressure wash it from time to time.

Maybe every few years.
I did notice that the 2010 light installation on City Hall was cleaned this year/last year.
Fun Fact: The paneled ceiling at the breezeway are called Ombrae panels made by KPS. There will be spot lights installed at various corner of the ceilin. Each spot light will show different patterns depending on which spotlight is on.
Another Fun Fact: We tested these ombrae lights at night and we received complaints from neighbours because we were too loud and promoting "light pollution"...

This project is very dynamic, I Ilike it.
Would you happen to have any names associated with those complaints...Bob wants to know.
Burrardbuilder, any info on a ribbon cutting or\and the light feature inaugural lighting. Your insight and inside information is much appreciated, thanks.
