17C and cloudy/rainy. The only reason it got up to 17C was because it was able to clear at around 5PM so we were able to gain about 2 degrees. Just an incredibly crappy. Sick and tired of this BS cold.

Low of 14C this morning. Was already raining.

The warmspot was Fort Reliance, NWT at 28.7C. You know things have been bad in southern Canada when the NWT have been the warmspot for the past week and the heat they are experiencing is nothing out of the ordinary (below 30C).

Waking up to 9C is much nicer than 0.9C

It’s wet with very light drizzle and fog at higher elevations. My deck can’t save me today. The past few days, with direct sun, it’s been summer comfortable back there. I’m pretty much already as “tan” as I get

But it needs direct sun - and my weather station doesn’t really show what it’s like on the deck because the station is properly set up well away from the house over grass. It’s of course a bit more comfortable on a deck radiating heat from below as well.

I am loving this station thus far. It’s just fun to know exactly what it properly is around me

And it’s been considerably warmer than YYT thus far.

If that fog bank makes it over the Southside Hills, we’ll never see the sun again

The only thing that can save us today is blasting Yatra at it lol

Couple of positives from the bland weather is that the grass is not suffering so far less watering needed and it makes for comfortable walks. If it were actually hot then it would be a nuissance taking a baby along with you for a day trip in the sense that you always have to carry shade or find shade and keep them hydrated (hauling tonnes of water bottles) and put on sunscreen and maybe even bring a mini fan, etc.

Went to Centreville Amusement park on Centre Island. Started with longsleeve and transitioned to tshirt. Mix of sun and cloud and some proper rain for five minutes. Some dark clouds in the distance too.

I decided about 10 years ago that I'd never go somewhere popular on a weekend again. I first made that decision with skiing. It's great not having a lineup to wait in. Took the kids to the zoo three weeks ago. Got awesome shots of the kids face to face with the polar bear, tiger, otter, etc. with just the glass in between. Did Niagara on a Tuesday the week before the zoo and it was wide open. Yesterday, no lineup for the ferry, sit wherever you want on the ferry, and most of the time we were the only ones on the ride. I saw video from Monday, a PA day (off day for school), at Wonderland. It was like 45 minutes just to get in.

I swear there were more employees at Centreville than visitors.

Of course, when kids are of school age, going on a weekday to places is harder to do.

Also, when was the last time you saw the Goodyear Blimp?

I presume the blimp was in town for the Canadian Open golf championship.

Currently 16C and quite humid in Moncton at 10 AM, going up to 22C with spotty showers later today.

Hot and sunny this weekend with high temperatures about 27C.

Rain and 14 at just after 11:30am. High near 16 this afternoon. Nice weekend ahead before yet another cold, coastal flow sets up for early next week.

Good point regarding the blimp. Though I don’t think they’ve done it regularly for the Open since I haven’t noticed it before while working downtown and also since I live adjacent to Glenn Abbey I’d probably have noticed it there at some point over the years. Maybe since the tournament was off for a couple years it feels like more of a special occasion.

24.9c and sunny/cloudy periods. Turned into a pretty nice day.

Just dont look at our forecast....Monday is a high of 14c and rain.....

Our snow pack is still 153% of normal right now, the prolonged cold wet Spring has delayed the melt by about 4 weeks.

20C (humidex of 23) and mainly cloudy for most of the day. Cleared up late this afternoon. It's definately not good enough for June. Sick and tired of wearing shorts and t-shirt and be cool.

Some showers and thundershowers expected this evening, beginning around 6 PM, which coincides precisely with the reservation time for a planned family restaurant meal on a patio this evening.

June still looking unstable across Ontario/Quebec. Lots of instability with threat of rain. Temps below seasonal. Next week we get a few days of seasonal/above (Tues-Thurs) but then quickly drop off again.

No sustained heat waves anywhere in sight.
