I don't know what to say - it seems a little bizarre. I'm not sure if an attraction based on a famous shipwreck where many people died is in the greatest of taste, but one can't deny its worldwide enduring fame.

Is this really going to happen?
Did anyone else find the press release strikingly short on specifics - even down to the exact location?

I may be 100% wrong, but to me this proposal has a very strong huckster-hustler aroma. And yes, they absolutely buried the needle on the tacky-ometer.

I'll be very interested to hear whether the promoters are seeking taxpayer cash, and if so, how much. And, more to the point, whether it'll fly at all without our money.

Color me extremely skeptical.
