There are 516 species in BC according to ebird which is apparently tops in Canada. Ontario is right there at 501.

I checked the weather around 4 pm and it was 2C. I know seasonal lag is a thing there, but that’s insane. It is also shocking to see the trees leafing out so late into the season. Appears to be a month behind us.

25C with a humidex of 28 and a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon (although the clouds were more dominant). Thankfully we had this clear period. It's raining and the temperature is down to 17C at the moment.

Low of 17C this morning.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 28.5C. Nice to see BC as warmspot for once.

We’ve had some good days, but yeah… long and very bothersome pauses of cold, several days of which had true winter chill. I was indeed wearing a hat yesterday too but, when I do it, it’s a stocking cap

I’m waiting on two deliveries that sum it up nicely. Booty shorts and vitamin D supplements.

Trees always leaf out in late May/early June here. Unless we get a lot of warm early/mid May weather, which then we may squeak out mid May.

Blame the good old La Nina. Normally it lets up by now but it's still chugging along.

June is shaping up to be a cool month in Ontario. I suspect the entire summer will be below seasonal for BC as well as ON/QB.

^^^ Ya this was predicted and I don't mind that it's the opposite of last year. The forest including all the wild berries and mosses seem to be very happy. And so many shades of green.

24C (humidex of 25) and a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon. Took a while to clear up. It was overcast and crappy in the earlier part of the day. Didn't even reach 20C until 1PM. Breezy as well so it wasn't very comfortable in shorts and t-shirt until later in the day.

Low of 17C this morning.

The warmspot was Sweetgrass Landing, AB at 28.1C.
