Quebec city's skyline is never changing. And that, perhaps, is a really good thing.

It’s a different angle but maybe not the most flattering shot. Looks like Des Moines.

Plenty of parking lots for dejected Oilers fans to go puke in after the Avs eliminate them.

I never realized Edmonton still had so much vacant space downtown.

Downtown Edmonton, especially the north side has got a LOT of work left to be done before it looks like a cohesive and pleasant neighbourhood. It's getting there though.

This picture reminded me of what the southern end of downtown Montreal looked like 20 years ago: large towers and sports arenas abruptly cut off by expansive former rail yards and light industrial urban blight.

It'll get more dense.

Much of these lands were the former CN yard and industrial uses to the north.

Katz has a rezoning in for the a good portion north of Rogers and EPCOR Tower has 4-5 towers forthcoming next to the RAM.

That said, a very, very drab shot.

Omg you guys are so mean! Not wrong, mind you, but jeez. Poor Edmonton.

Another shot of the Little Italy skyline in Ottawa from last weekend. I love this angle because of how different it will look by the end of the decade.

Looking forward to seeing my hometown's skyline change in 5-10.

After the way the Flames got screwed by the refs and the remaining hangover of the battle of Alberta I couldn’t help it. In fairness Calgary’s Victoria Park and sections along Macleod are still ugly surface parking lots. Same with much of the land adjacent to the CP tracks.

Beautiful set of Montreal pics. Aldred is my favourite Art Deco scraper in the country.

Edmonton is definite a prime example how a skyline shot can look amazing and a full downtown (as many of Edmonton skyline photos here have shown), but once you tilt the camera and make it more of an aerial, lots more comes to light. As people have said, it is a work in progress and is on the right track.

YVR skyline shots are kind of the reverse. From a distance and from most angles, it doesn't capture the scale of build-up downtown. But a good angled aerial shows how many individual buildings there are
