I was going through some old photos and found one that I had posted on the forum over a decade-plus ago. It was a proposal I came across years ago. It was done by architect A Scott Howe and I'm not sure if it was an actual proposal or just a concept but I still think it would have been awesome to have downtown:

Every architect's masterpiece is every structural engineer's worst nightmare.

If the Astra tower cams were were available to look at, there's a great "pano cam" that shows Brineshore in real time.

Thank you guys. loooove the pics. Brinshore looks more "project" than i thought it would. West Quarter is looking incredible.

I know Astra cam isnt working, are there others that are? With Astra going vertical so quickly, and Convexity not far behind, gonna be craving cams to watch it happen.

That camera get used for other purposes throughout the day. It's not dedicated to construction.

Just a couple of shots I got downtown yesterday evening...

Convexity site - it occurred to me that the views from this building are going to be great. It is far enough east that it will have uninterrupted views of the mountains, but also will have great views of the downtown skyline.

The Hyatt Regency really adds to the views while walking in downtown, makes teh downtown feel bigger to have tall buildings slightly off in the distance

State Street is starting to get a better wall of towers, and this doesn't even include 95 State

Is there a way to find out who the structural engineer was on a building? Is that info available to the public?

Does anyone know what is going on with the Astra tower cameras? Are they gone forever, or is it just temporary?

It's unfortunate to have them down when the tower crane is going up. Would have been fun to watch the progress.

Not dedicated to construction, but we try to keep it pointed there when we can. It refreshes every ~60 seconds

Was looking at the cam today with the Astra crane going up. There was one shot with the crane almost fully assembled with four of the assembly vehicles around it...all with their long extension arms raised at the same angle in a show of adoration. And the phrase "One Crane To Rule Them All" kept repeating in my mind.
