Reading your messages, I realized that the Vancouver summer is getting hotter and drier. Therefore, the summer climate of the main city in the Canadian Pacific increasingly resembles the climate of the Mediterranean. Even if it stays much cooler. Perhaps the effects of global warming are most intense in western Canada. On the contrary, perhaps here in Palermo we are not recording a decrease in summer rainfall (even if they are always very scarce), but the temperatures are rising.

Got a sun burn Saturday, All day coaching. and on Sunday had to bundle up and wear my fall riding gear because the temp was only 10C.
Cool today. no more than 15C but looking at the temp rise to 27 be the weekend.

Canadas highest paved road still has snow on it so could not ride up this weekend.

It’s a scorcher in my backyard. 23ish with low humidity only but I guess I’m not acclimated yet. Mowed the lawn and am dripping in sweat. Had to come inside to cool off

Won’t be the same tomorrow that’s for sure.

Not yet! You're right. The tournaments should be starting up soon. It seems there is some sort of tournament every weekend.

Totally nice - not a cloud except far, far to the western horizon. Wish it was a little warmer - only up to 17°C for a high and kind of breezy at times. At least it was still a perfect day for a nice long walk.

27C with a humidex of 32 and a mix of sun and clouds. It became overcast later in the afternoon. Enjoyable day!

Low of 16C this morning.

The warmspot was Toronto, ON at 31.9C.

I just found out that there is an Italian proverb about the red sky which is similar to an Anglo-Saxon proverb

Living in a coastal city, I learned the saying from my mother who had heard it from her mother, who grew up on an island near Halifax that her family fished from. Back then I thought it was a local saying, practically used by sea-faring people, but since learned that it literally dates back to the bible!

And a very accurate saying too. I believe it has something to do with refraction due to suspended dust particles in the atmosphere which can serve as nuclei around which raindrops can form. A red sky in the morning therefore indicates an approaching front which can produce rain (and wind). In the evening however, a red sky means that the front has already passed, and that nice weather is on the way.

11C and sunny in Moncton at 10 AM, only getting up to 14C later today. It feels very pleasant out though.

We did indeed have a bit of rain. Nothing as relentless as anticipated. Full sun again at the moment.

Have a project close to home so I walked over to the project this morning. Sitting in the yard with my morning coffee and answering emails and RFIs helped so I did not get mad at the contractors.

And had a partner on my 11 minute walk over.

The yard is almost there. just a few more things to do then sit back and watch the grass grow.
