Work is ongoing on floor #4 of tower one.

This is the first floor above podium level. I wonder if they will have all 15 floors completed (at least the superstructure) by the end of the year?

It's going to be a really impressive development. It'll dominate that entire neighbourhood. No doubt there'll be substantial height by the end of the year.

I suspect the pace will pick up now that the podium floors are done and they are into the tower section since the tower has smaller floor plates and each floor is likely fairly repetitive.

I was at the Avenir Centre this weekend and the building is already very noticeable from the plaza.

Now working on floor #5. You can really begin to see progress when you look at the construction project from the Avenir Centre plaza.

I have very little doubt they will top off the 15th floor by the end of fall (roughly two floors per month, 10 floors to go, so, that would be about five months - Maybe even by the end of September).

At what point do you predict it becomes the 2nd tallest building in the city? Currently this title belongs to the Blue Cross Building.

It's actually amazing how quickly this building is going up. Almost halfway there now in terms of height.

An ad on Facebook is promoting the website for the project, dubbed the "Three Sisters": https://threesistersmoncton.ca

Indeed. riverviewer just posted about this in the downtown section:

People ask me, “Why Three Sisters?” The answer is very close to the origins of Canada’s culture, and very close to my heart.

As a young man I became a collector of Inuit and Indigenous art, and I was struck by how often the image of Three Sisters appeared in a painting or a carving, the figures intertwined in mutual support.

As my appreciation of such works grew, I learned how much we owe to all those who taught our ancestors the agricultural wisdom of Three Sisters - corn, beans, and squash - three vegetables, planted together, supporting each other in growth, and feeding the communities that nurtured them.

Time passed, and my wife Heidi and I were blessed with children - first one daughter, then twin girls, and then a fourth daughter. And as they grew, it struck me that each would always have Three Sisters to count on for love, for companionship, and for mutual support

And so, as the vision of this building project took shape - three stately towers overlooking the Petitcodiac River, designed to shelter hundreds of households on the shores of downtown Moncton - with it there grew the image of the Three Sisters, symbolic of growth and mutual support and community... a tribute to the inspiration of the earliest artists and farmers of this land, bearing the names of some of the dearest people in my life: our eldest, Quinn;, our twins, Gwenythe and Elle; and our youngest, Caroline.

Now that we (finally) have an official name for this major development, I think it's time that the name of this thread is changed. Mods???

One of the best things about that name and that explanation is that it'd be REALLY optically hard to back out of buildings 2 and 3.

Another render from the site. I’m not sure if this one had been posted yet.

Look at this (miniaturized) floor plan for the three bedroom penthouse apartments in this complex:

This shows a large outdoor patio with a hot tub and room for patio furniture in each unit. If you look at the renderings of the building, this unit can only go on the 15th floor. There would appear to be four penthouse suites in each building, for a total of 12 units.

Previously the assumption was that the 15th floor would be mechanical, but this is obviously wrong. The 15th floor of all three of these buildings will be residential.

It's worthwhile to try and magnify this floor plan to have a closer look. I did this on my iPad. The master suite in this unit is massive, and one of the secondary bedrooms appears to be fitted out as a partial study. In addition to the large patio, there is a separate balcony off the living room.

I wonder how much these penthouse suites will go for???

When you blow them up like that, those images look like SimCity 2000 buildings

Tower one is now at nine storeys. Once it reaches 10 floors, I will take another picture.

The building is starting to become quite noticeable on the skyline.

Several more floors upward and this is will only be 1/3 of the project. Massive!
