Oh wow. That NYC project must have driven few people mad in putting together...

With shipping and manufacturing issues, maybe the availability and selection for marble slabs is poor and you are stuck with what pieces you happen to get like in case of Burrard Place.

Hi - Stones were actually bought back in early 2019. Pre-covid. Stones were quarried, cut, and kerfed in China and stayed there for a good whole year to avoid storage costs in Vancouver. Stones were delivered to site April/May 2021.
Inventory is definitely not an issue as there were several local contractors that provided quotes to supply and install these (which IMO has a higher chance of looking more decent). However, it was decided that developers will supply through an agent in China, and developer will also pick and choose the layout and pattern of the stones.

Public Patio/courtyard Mural, an attention-getter.

I think there has been a big mistake. Do you think the new tenants will have to move all their things 1 floor up ?
There's a lot of stuff in that office, they've been at it for the past month.

Maybe that's just the construction site office.

Officedweller, your right, construction office use to be on the ground floor (Toyota Dealership) a couple of months ago.
All that time I've been watching, thinking it was new tenants moving in. I'll continue watching.

Completion date

Does anyone have an update about completion date yet?
Building looked very close to complete the last time I walked by.

Best shots yet and very 'big city' maturity from it.

I find it amazing though at how long the process for this one was... literally a 1/5 of my life.

This project has really exceeded my best hope for it. The final details now near the end are making all the difference. The public realm finishes are top notch, and finely detailed. Something Westbank could learn a lot from. I'm very impressed and looking forward to things opening up and getting active in the area.

I was wondering if the framework on the NE corner is to mount cell phone transmitters?

That's sharp looking tower! Really finished better than I expected. The renderings made it look more glassy than in real life.
