I love Alpen Rose
I believe so. I haven't heard anything that would contradict the initial announcement about him taking the restaurant space at the Laurel. There just hasn't been any paperwork(liquor license etc) for it yet.

Does anyone know what's planned for the retail space at Arthaus?

I don't go to the mall often, but I've never seen so few people at any time of day or week. This is supposed to be one of the successful malls. I wouldn't want to see an unsuccessful one.
THIS is one of the biggest issues I've had with the pandemic.

All stores that used to stay open 24 hours or later either changed their hours or are so off the charts with when they open and close due to staffing and store traffic that it's very frustrating.

I can understand why but why commercial stores like malls are closing an hour earlier and then the stores inside the mall close even earlier just makes no sense.

Ah, my bad. Wow, it's interesting seeing Walnut 2009 vs. 2020. Although the 2020 street view is awful because of the ongoing social unrest that year.
*Re-opening / relocating their only PA location.

St. Joseph's University unveils $300M capital campaign to fund new projects

Quote:
Saint Joseph's University formally unveiled on Friday a $300 million fundraising campaign to fund various capital projects on the school's Philadelphia campus.

Money raised will be used to fund multiple projects on the school's 125-acre Hawk Hill campus that straddles West Philadelphia and Lower Merion. As part of the merger, St. Joe's will also absorb USciences' 24-acre campus in University City.

Of the $300 million, St. Joe's says that $150 million will go toward upgrading living and educational boarding on campus. Another $75 million will pay for scholarships and the remaining $75 million will go toward academic and mission-driven programs.

The campus master plan includes a new student center, a pedestrian underpass on City Avenue, three new residence halls, two new parking garages, renovations to athletic facilities and a general realignment of the campus, including a new quad area.

Public urination has damaged an elevator just repaired at SEPTA’s Somerset Station

https://www.inquirer.com/transportation/...1H16W40-lX1FkIdnrJbTmvjBKiinp8F4za-zFs6Y

Hey McGrath has SEPTA looked at cost analysis for opening bathrooms back up or adding porta pottas to certain stops to stop people from using the bathroom in stations.

I know the thinking is that if they open bathrooms back up in the BSL and MFL people will camp in them and mess them up but with the new guards coming in it could help a lot and also stop from damages and the system from literally smelling like Piss. I used the station in NY for one day and I didn't even get the strong amount of piss smell you smell from just walking by the BSL on lets say Walnut.

Love that! Now if only there's some development on the Parkway lot across the street... a parking lot isn't the most aesthetically-pleasing sidewalk café view hah. For being on the same block as The Laurel, it's a prime Rittenhouse lot and surprised something hasn't happened there.

Washington Ave updates:
Construction fencing is up at the Anastasi's site at 9th & Washington. Looks like they've taken down the old awning so far.

The triangular lot b/w 8th & Passyunk at Washington seems to have been cleaned up a bit. There's some equipment across the street out front of Friendly Lounge, but it looked like tubes which I figured were probably for street infrastructure?

On another note, I was on East Girard this weekend and was amazed by the progress around the intersection of Girard & 2nd. The amount of building going on there is impressive.

1315 RIDGE AVE, Philadelphia, PA 19123-2406
GREENWAY PLAZA LLC 5

For the erection of a new 7 story structure plus cellar to contain a vacant commercial space, 24 dwellings units, accessory private roofdeck(s) accessed via pilot house(s), 1 new auto-share parking stalls for a total of 11 parking stalls (1 ada, 1 auto-share) & 5 new bike stalls for a total of 21 class 1a bike stalls on the same lot as 6 other structures containing a sum of 24 existing dwellings units, for a total of 48 residential dwelling units and a vacant commercial space.
It seems like the entirety of the Ridge Avenue corridor is on fire, from Spring Garden to Francisville to Strawberry Mansion to Roxborough!
