The worst aspect of the Earth is its counterclockwise rotation motion. I would have preferred it to run clockwise, that is, from East to West. The climate of Europe and therefore of Italy would have been very different. And also of Canada .....

Socked in with low lying cloud, rain on and off. Kind of a drizzley Vancouver type day.

12c.

We cut lawns all day today in the rain here in Victoria. The high was only 8 degrees. We were soaked and cold. It felt like November. We are having the coldest spring on record here. I've run my landscaping business for over 24 years now and I've never seen an April and May like this. I could see my breath all day. Hopefully it'll warm up soon. :-(

17C and sunny. Pretty typical day temperature wise.

Low of 5C this morning.

The warmspot was Medicine Hat, AB at 28.1C. New yearly high in the country!

It's good looking forecast but far from amazing... half the days are pretty much right on average (even a bit below normal) for this time of the year and then the other half is looking much better.

Oh well, such below normal events must happen sometimes.

Fog rolling about. Must’ve been rain or drizzle earlier as everything is quite wet.

We reached a high of 10c yesterday. 10! I was walking to a local bakery, and felt legitimately cold once the wind picked up.

There's nothing in the extended forecast that shows any change. It'll be cool and wet well into May.

Temp was above 20 yesterday, so a pretty nice evening for a walk. Light rain this morning but sunny the rest of the weekend but cooler. No more than 15.

On the bright side the trees are leafing out and the gardens are coming to life. Amazed at how fast the peonies are growing

Yep:

Yesterday was the coldest Vancouver May day in 20 years

... In fact, according to YOW-Weather-Records, this past Thursday was the coldest Vancouver May day since 2002, when temperatures hit a high of 8.8ºC.

The high on May 5 was a cool 10.7ºC.

Before 2022 the high in May was 8.3ºC in 1943 and 1938.

Unfortunately, temperatures aren’t forecast to rise much over the next little while. The forecast for the next seven days calls for more moisture, and highs of 12ºC, with overnight lows getting as cold as 5ºC.....

On the upside, at least skiiers, Grouse Mountain is still open on the North Shore and Whistler might get 30cm of new snow this weekend.

15C and sunny. This is yet again 2 whole degrees below normal. This warm up can't come soon enough.

Low of 7C this morning.

The warmspot was Estevan, SK at 25.6C.

EDIT: The race to the first 30C is going to be interesting. I checked and Detroit's NWS highest temp (Friday) in the forecast is 79F (26C). Buffalo is 80F (27C) while Burlington, VT is 86F (30C). We will see as these are still far away. Doesn't mean Southern Quebec will beat Windsor/Niagara to it. I would not discount Northern Ontario as well.

Worked another colder than usual day in Victoria. It got up to 10 degrees today, cloudy all day with some light rain. The weather here is just craziness. So cold. Hoping for a better day tomorrow to work in.

The sun is out though I'm not sure how big the hole in the clouds is.
