San Antonio developer Weston Urban hosted a groundbreaking event today for a multifamily hi-rise project.
300 Main will be a 32-story residence located on the corner of North Main Avenue and East Travis Street. It will feature 354 Class AA units for rent averaging 924 square feet, a six-level parking garage with approximately 457 spaces, and a common area on the 25th floor called the Sky Lounge where residents and their guests will be offered “unobstructed views of San Antonio,” according to a press release. On the ground floor, 300 Main will offer 6,275 square feet of retail space.
Rogers-O’Brien Construction is the general contractor on the project. Financing was provided by Bridge Investment Group and Bank OZK. Construction is expected to be complete by spring of 2024.
In addition to the groundbreaking, Weston Urban announced two new projects at the event. The Rand building, located on 110 E. Houston St., will see the construction of two new restaurants on its ground level.
One of the establishments, called the Double Standard, is a 2,859-square-foot tavern-style restaurant and bar by the Empty Stomach Group (responsible for establishments like Barbaro and Hot Death), set to open in May 2022. The kitchen is headed by Chef John Philpot of the Empty Stomach Group, and the bar will be led by Myles Worrell, of The Esquire.
The other project is a 4,500-square-foot Chick-fil-A restaurant with a drive-thru, expected to be finished by early 2023.
