Their ambition for Cobbs is Bethpage Black.
What exactly does that mean for a non-golf person? The region does have PGA courses? Or because the region doesn't have a PGA event, there aren't PGA courses?

I'm totally blanking, what is the building on the right?

Some other low/mid-rise updates I took pictures of lately:
Edgewater 2 has a few floors of steel up now

Rendering:

180-Unit Edgewater Apartments Proposed for 230 North 23rd Street in Logan Square, Center City

The PMC low-rise down the street off 23th has been pouring a lot of concrete the last few days

Rendering:

Permits Issued for 139 North 23rd Street in Logan Square, Center City

^ Thanks Summers. I had that rendering in my head, but couldn't figure it out. Should have just Googled. Great looking building though.

Philly is home to several of the finest courses in the US - from Pine Valley to Merion to Philly Cricket to Aroninmink. These courses, however, are tightly confined by their surroundings - 100 year old courses surrounded generally by incredibly wealthy real estate - which creates intense logistical challenges for the PGA Tour to host events that require a massive amount of open space for corporate tents and amenities not to mention a way to funnel 35,000 fans to and from the venue each day. Arononimink tends to be the go-to course whenever there is a big event here.

Merion was an amazing venue for Center City residents like myself for the 2013 US Open b/c we could take the subway out there! But a lot of the Pros didn't like it b/c the practice facility was small, remote, tough to get to, and the course was hard to get in and out of for pros - not to mention short-term housing in that general area is not easy to come by.

There also doesn't seem to be a ton of local will to get an annual tournament back here. Corporate sponsorships are key. I also don't think the players are clamoring for it. There's not a huge overlap in the Venn diagram of (usual) southern polo shirt wearing golfers and people who like hip, edgy, graffiti-laden cosmopolitan cities.

Does anyone have updates on the proposed hotel at 3rd & Walnut or the Dilworth House condo project? Both fall under the high-rise threshold.

Both sadly no longer qualify for the highrise threshold (12+ floors)

The hotel at 3rd & Walnut was downsized to 7-stories

The Dilworth House Condo deal was purchased by Astoban Realty (which means this will actually probably happen soon) and is now 11-stories

Anyone know the story behind the 740 Tower on their current projects page? Assuming it's not a thing, but haven't seen it before.. http://astoban.com/current

Funnily enough I drove by the site this weekend and noticed that demo seemed to have started (didn't get a great look but at a minimum they were demoing trees in the middle of the property).

Seems to be a proposal/idea for 740 S Broad, where those really nice townhomes went up.

What is the deal with the tiny tiny windows on 216 Vine St.
Awful....Looks cheap. Hope the finished product looks better but I won't hold my breath.

It does not apply. Which means that this morning during my commute, I can walk to the subway, wait for it, get on, and get off without wearing a mask, but the second I enter 1234 I have to put it back on.

I agree. It should be the opposite.

Uber just announced they won’t be enforcing masks either. Talk about a public policy dumpster fire…

It will be interesting to see how the 1234 situation plays out. Technically, we are governed by the TSA's mask mandate, which was just revoked; however, the City has its indoor mask mandate in effect. Based on the opinion of the Commonwealth Court in the case where the City sued SEPTA over its gendered TransPasses (the majority opinion asserted SEPTA's sovereign immunity as an entity of the Commonwealth), does the Health Commissioner have the vested authority to enforce it within 1234? I wish we would've received guidance after the mandate was overturned yesterday afternoon, not at 9:00PM over Twitter.

Another interesting situation could play out in PHL. Since it falls within the jurisdiction of Delaware County, will passengers in Terminal A West not have to wear masks while those in Terminals A East, B, C, D, E, and F will?
