BC will be stuck in a very cool trend for the next few days, a colder than average spring was forecasted.

To be honest though, looks like nowhere in Canada is getting a stellar April (relative to local norms).

9C and a mix of sun and clouds. Pretty typical for this time of the year.

Low of 2C last night.

The warmspot was Muskrat Dom, ON at 12.3C

It was a pretty cold day in Victoria. Around 5 degrees. Some cities up island actually got snow today. It was mostly sunny downtown until it rained a little in the afternoon. This is a photo of the Empress I took today.

Heavy snow, strong winds and blowing snow for southern Manitoba beginning late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.

A Colorado low will move towards Minnesota Tuesday night bringing a heavy swath of snow from southeastern Saskatchewan through most of southern Manitoba. The axis of heaviest snow looks to remain through North Dakota but large accumulations are still expected in southern Manitoba, notably near the international border. Storm-total snowfall accumulations near the US border may approach 60 cm. North of this region, general storm-total accumulations of 20 to 40+ cm are possible, including for the city of Winnipeg.

I am getting 1997 flashbacks - driving stupidly from Brandon to Winnipeg a day before the 'storm of the century' and being trapped for days with no beer.

It's 4 degrees here right now too. Also no rain. My friend Lonny who lives in Lake Cowichan posted photos of his place with snow on Facebook today as well as my cousin in Campbell River. We had rain here in Vic...

I was in Surrey, Whalley, and heard the thunder. I heard parts of the LM got hail. Around 7 I went to the Surrey Memorial Hospital area and a car pulled in and parked and it had snow on the front window, my friend in West Surrey posted that it was snowing there. It wasn't very warm today, yesterday was quite beautiful.

Currently 2c.

That was a crazy hail storm. Pretty sure I felt a small earthquake afterwards.

The weather around Vancouver on Sunday was bonkers. Mixed bag would be an understatement.
We continue to get very dynamic and unsettled chilly weather.

On the downtown peninsula it started off overcast with threatening skies and some light scattered showers.
Then the sun came out mid-afternoon and it was nice.
Then around suppertime the heavens opened up and we got a heavy downpour (last pic below).
It was like wet hail with more thunder and lightning than I've experienced in Vancouver for many years.

Sunday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 10 C, the low was 4 C.

Cloudy, some fog, and a cool 1 degree at just before 10am. Not much of a warmup today, or really at all this week.

A week of cold here. Snow most days as well.

-1 -4 -6 -6 -4 0 2

Might get a few nights with -20 windchill. Normal high 11, so quite cold for this time of year.

Well definitely shorts and deck weather Friday (20), then down to 8 on Sat and 5 on Sunday.

Winds have been up. 50kpm with stronger guts. Did some riding and it was a struggle. Bike went sideways on a few gravel roads at times.

Woke up to -10 this morning. No relief for at least a week here. below 0 until Friday. But it is dry here and almost all the snow is gone now.

A massive blizzard is on its way to southern Manitoba and southeastern Saskatchewan, potentially one of the worst in decades. Accumulations of 30 to 50 cm are expected in much of the area, with higher elevation areas in Manitoba potentially getting up to 80cm!

Regina is potentially on the hook for 20cm or so, but thankfully Saskatoon is out of the path of this beast... Happy mid-April on the prairies!

Has been well below normal here for the past few days. Made it up to 11c and cloudy today.

It’s been so chilly the choppers have been out over the cherrys trying to push down warmer air on the budding trees.

12C and sunny! Not a bad day.

Low of -2C (wind chill of -6) this morning. Downtown remained above the freezing mark (1C). I suspect next time we fall below zero is in November.

The warmspot was Windsor, ON at 20.9C.
