"Centro application revoked
What was expected to be a fiery battle over two downtown heritage landmarks “collapsed” on Monday night as a developer withdrew proposed changes to a $245-million, twin tower project at the site of the old Camden Terrace. Old Oak had applied to rebuild the Victorian rowhouse facade on the outside of its Talbot Street development, instead of inside the lobby, and asked for permission to deconstruct and rebuild two walls of a heritage property at 93-95 Dufferin Ave., angering history buffs. The company withdrew both requests Monday night, saying it was looking forward to final planning approvals to restart “this vital and ambitious project” it’s calling Centro."
