Really slow on finishing the exterior of the retirement building. Truck onsite delivering a load of drywall today so interior work must be progressing.

Sifton appears to be having the same problem with their office space at West 5. Nobody wants to lease offices.

Looks like they have now installed most of the solar panels on the south and west facing sides of the retirement home building. As with the apartment building the exterior finishing was brutally slow going.

Not technically part of West 5 however they are moving dirt in what appears to be preparation to build the Eve Park Suites https://www.evepark.ca
Pricing is now listed and the past week or so they have started prep work.

They are drilling and setting foundation pilings to the immediate east of the current retirement home underground level. Looks like an extension of the underground parking but may be another small building. Hard to tell and rather odd to phase it this way.

I believe this will be for phase 2 of the retirement home, there is a second building that will be built on the corner directly east.

Not sure what Sifton was thinking with this retirement home. They have now completed the excavation of pit immediately east of the underground parking garage for the retirement building they just built. They have had to scrap the backfill off the concrete walls they previously poured. If the plan was to build a 2nd phase or attached building why wouldn't you have excavated the entire site in the first place? Very odd indeed.

Now forming the footings and foundation for the 2nd phase of the retirement home just east of the first building.

They have also formed the additional few condos that are being built on the west side of the retirement building. It believe it will be another 18-20 units in total the same or similar to units built on the east of the retirement home.

Tower crane base now visible in the pit for the 2nd phase of the retirement building. Foundations poured now for the townhomes immediately to the west of retirement home. And site prep well under way for the Eve Park condos to the west of that.

Ground floor slab is now poured and have forming for first ground floor walls up on phase 2 of the retirement building.

Elevator and stairwell shafts now poured for ground floor. Structural steel for ground floor also progressing really well on phase 2 of retirement home.

Supposed to be 7 stories is it not, like phase 1
