Correct- I also forgot Garden.

Peters might be one of the worst streets in the entire city, in multiple ways, so this should help a lot.

Yep....Peters St. will finally be shown some love this year. Full infrastructure replacement + street/sidewalk reconstruction. =)

Good plan! I doubt more than 5% of the population know how to pronounce quay (it's key, not kway).

Duplex at 166 Pitt is gutted. They painted it last fall and have new windows in on the ground floor already.

More interestingly, it seems like both sides of Sydney from Broad to Tin Can Beach have been surveyed. I think they are awarding the planning rights for the Harbour Passage extension in this week's council meeting. I wonder if they'll build on the east or west side. My preference is east solely because it should make the city extend the south side of the Broadview sidewalk all the way to Sydney instead of stopping at the Garrison entrance.

Where does it go next? Does it hug the tracks to the Barrack Green field or do they leave Tin Can a spur and continue with the Broad St plan? It's a great terminus, don't get me wrong, but both have their merits. I think the former street that ran inside the rail line was called Lewis (if it ever existed) and the city still owns it, and the railways have been amenable to the passage on their land in the past. The downside is it runs through some pretty gritty areas. Broad St is already heavily treed and has extremely wide sidewalks, but it's loaded with driveways: 10 just as far down as Wentworth. It's also the only street in the city where people park on the sidewalk, which has to be halted. It's also residential, which isn't really a plus or minus, but would be the first residential stretch of the trail.

It would be great to see a minor league baseball stadium uptown maybe near where the ol sugar refinery spot was. I would definitely support a ball team that's a bit higher ranked then senior ball

I don't think a minor league baseball stadium or team work well uptown. That would be quite a lot of money to sink into what would be essentially used for just a summer development league.

Think the best idea to to continue to path of uptown builds down towards that area so it feels seamless. And in the Sugar Rifinery/Tin Can Beach empty lots look to have some sort of "european square" idea? Maybe? Where you could have a Museum, Restaurants, few clubs and shops.

That's some super nice infill that looks both upscale and still traditionally 'Saint John'. I hope we see more from this architect and developer.

With these townhouses going up this year. Do we expect more infill for Charlotte street heading close to the water?

Word on the street is they start this summer. I think it will spur growth in that area. Only roadblock I see are owners of run down properties thinking they are worth 10x assessed value
