I went to Chipotle in Park Royal last week on a weekday around 7 pm, the entire time we were there the flow of people never stopped, there was a constant line of about half a dozen people the whole time. With all the Amazon etc. workers moving to that area they will do very well.

It's huge with takeout/delivery services too. It makes sense since the food travels well. When I go in to the Broadway location, the shelves are full of bags for pickup.

FWIW Noodle Box says they are opening in New West this year with a location finalizing in Burnaby along with multiple Surrey locations.

I drove by the other day and it was busy in there. I wonder how this will effect the Tacomio Place across Lonsdale from them mid term.

Huh, didn't know that they now have two North Shore locations. They have been expanding quickly and I like their food, but I have to say their prices are starting to push what is reasonable for something that is still only fast food.

agreed pricing is out of hand. especially when you compare it to what they charge for the EXACT SAME THING in Seattle or Los Angeles. yes I know there are other costs involved. but it should not be 2x or 1.75x

A burrito seemed like it was $0.75USD more in Canada versus the US.

food costs are going up fast, I wonder how much the min wage going up soon will affect prices.

I hope City of Lougheed area gets a Chipotle.

The Burnaby Now's weekly fried chicken news story was about chico Chicken opening two more locations one on Hastings across from Antons, and one at Market Crossing.

Neptune Seafood Restaurant is opening above the Earls at Brentwood.

I went to the last day of operation for Cactus Club Cafe Robson. The Staff tell me that Zefferelli's will be taking over the space and will have a 2 story restaurant.

Drove past it last night and the whole street-facing windows on both the Cambie facade and the Broadway facade are now floor-to-ceiling signage announcing the future location.

Looking forward to imminent lineups of, um, chicken fans, along the entire length of the block saying "I was there first!"

That's a pretty large space for Jollibee. I think it's over 7000 sq ft. The original intention for that space was a replacement for something like Original Joes that was there before.

Zefferelli's is taking the downstairs over and they will expand their space. No word yet if Cactus Club Cafe wants to stay on Robson Street at a new location. Cactus Club Cafe should take over the old Milestones location for bigger space.
