When did this change to rental? I have it as ~352 condos, ~232 hotel rooms, and ~677,000 SF of office. This obviously does not include any retail, restaurants and/or bars.

It doesn't (initially) make since to have a signature tower - one that will be the tallest in Texas - as rental. Especially if they are planning on having a 5-star hotel associated with this project.

That's what I thought as well. Apartments? Hopefully well hear something in April if they don't have any more delays.

I thought it was condos as well. The hotel might not be 5 star with rentals. I have now down graded my hope for the hotel being 5 star!

The tallest tower in Texas, In Austin, in 2022, just screams for condos and a swanky hotel. Just saying.

I completely agree. I too hope that it is a 5-star hotel and corresponding condos. It seems like that would be a great fit in Texas' tallest tower. And, there's a market for it.

Hopefully an announcement will come soon.

This mockup looks like there are three different colors / types of glass. It should give the building even more texture than the renderings shows. The whiteish cream and orange are definitely new to the skyline, and will probably look very striking against the blue sky. I am impressed with the tapering from very broad at the base, then thinning in the center, to thinnest at top while each section relates well to the others and reads as a whole tower. Very well done! And the crown make sense and reads well with the other columns at the base and between sections. It is going to be huge. I am glad it will soon have other tall towers next to it, and near by, to give it context and scale.

This is obviously not true to perspective since none of the renderings are really from the same vantage point, but a quick shoddy attempt to see how this cluster will eventually look. Scale and placement should be fairly accurate. Gives us a good idea of composition until more renderings and someone with better photoshop skills comes around!

Will this be Austin's signature tower?

And yes, this is our signature. Who'd a thunk different angles would've changed my mind so drastically. I am a sucker for Googie design. I am still very curious about that crown lighting. If I had to guess, we'll be seeing the pillars lit with a glow or frosted glass panels.

Interesting that they edited out the HACA senior's tower in this rendering view, but not the others.

Most of the changes in the final rendering are on top of the podium and not the tower, and now everyone is excited?
