Not soon but eventually.
I believe they've given up on the idea of refloating it because it would just be too difficult and dangerous.
So, it's going to be cut up and demolished. Work should get started this spring.
It's taking some time to get all the permits from various agencies to get it all going.
Lots of things to consider like environmental, marine traffic, liability and overall logistics.
It's going to be a huge operation that will take months.
Marge the Barge has been regarded with some affection by locals and she will be missed by some.
When she is gone I think it will be a visual symbol of us finally getting past recent difficulties like the catastrophic weather and the pandemic.
