I know. I'm saying I like that room. It's really nice and on par with Fort Garry or even Manitoba Club.

The others ones are just bland and dated.

Maybe my initial use of the term ballroom was in error.

Haha, wrong room. This is the former Churchills Dining salon. gorgeous room....might hold 150 - 200 ? . I was referring to renowned SKYVIEW Ballroom..

Apparently the 15 storey apartment building on Mayfair and Main should start this spring.

IIRC there was some site clearing going on there recently. Concrete curbs coming out and such.

The project at 198 Sherbrook is underway. Columns are above ground now and there was work taking place this morning.

I'd love to see 216 Sherbrook go ahead as well.

That whole Mayfair area has so much future potential for new buildings. So many boarded up crackshacks and empty lots just screaming for high density TOD.

That whole area should be lined with towers and rowhouse style podiums.

It’s even next to a elementary school. Once I have a kid I would be very tempted to move there.

There's only the one boarded up place now. Which I believe had a fire last year? But 'Regina House' on the corner is definitely a sad little place.

Otherwise, there are actually some nice places mixed in with the budget apartments in the area. But I agree that it has so much potential after the MB housing got torn down.

I thought people here were pretty down on this project when it was announced. Something about the amount of parking. I'm happy it's moving ahead regardless.

I think more townhouses. Or else apartments of some kind. That lot is bigger than the townhouses, so probably apartments.

Did a little digging and saw that it will be 130 townhouses that look like this.
