It already stands out prominently, even with the lower 250-300ft obscured from that vantage point. Now picture an additional 300-ish feet on top of that. Going to dominate.

It's actually the first building that peeks out on the horizon coming from Buda, once you're passing the 45 overpass on I35.

With all the 600' plus towers ready to start and planned, This tower is on the verge of literally pushing our skyline to the next level. 875' with our existing buildings is a game changer. Though the building turns its back on its historic neighbors, its bulk and height especially when lit at night, will take the Austin skyline into Big League territory. If all keeps moving forward, then We vs us's "completely different city" will have arrived in perhaps just 10 years. Maybe less!

It's relative. Boston has had just as many buildings of similar size in the past 10 years, but starting at a higher base level, so it's not as noticeable. Austin has more pending though, so you guys may catch Boston in 5-10 years. Especially if 98 Red River gets built. You'll definitely catch Dallas if these trends continue.

When I realized that we know of at least 4 buildings as tall or taller than the Austonian that are in the pipeline . . . ASIDE from the one that's under construction . . . I mean, all bets are off. We're not in Kansas any more.

The fact that you compare Austin at 2.2 million population MSA to Boston 4.9 MSA (8.5 CSA) is impressive. Give us 5-10 years and look at the respective skylines and Austin will shine!

Yup. On a related (but unrelated) note, I would compare the 4.9 million MSA population, not the 8.5 CSA. The CSA includes Providence, Worcestor and other smaller cities which are really too far away to be reasonably considered part of the Boston metro area. Boston to Providence is 60 miles. You have a have a special reason to go to Providence from Boston. That's almost like saying San Antonio and Austin are the same metro area, when they're clearly not. Just some insight.
