i'll say it again.. that is the best angle to take a skyline photo of Quebec city. Makes it look like an even larger urban centre than it is. So charming.. lucky folks live there.

A new condo in Calgary's Beltline (11th + 11th) with the skyline behind. Love the different textures.

I wouldn't say that. The base of the antenna needs paint/cleaning. Rosie the Robot has been slacking.

That’s not dirt. It’s ash / burn marks. They still light the flame on top. Was lit for the start of the Beijing Olympics. The roof on the other hand could use a cleaning / paint job.

I love how this one makes the towers seem so clustered. I'm not sure if I'd prefer that to what it looks like in reality.

I didn't know they still did that. It seems a little pointless now. Is that tower still a money maker?

I totally forgot about the flame and the spire torch

Hamilton from the rail corridor along the west end of the harbour. This will change a lot over the next few years.

It’s really cool to see when lit up. Like a throwback to the Olympics when I was a kid. There is a restaurant inside and an observation area as well. The elevator was broken a couple years ago and took some time to fix iirc.

I don't see how it isn't. It has an observation deck, revolving restaurant, and a theatre. Was there recently in Dec and it seemed to be doing ok. Restaurant was closed due to covid restrictions at the time though. They still light the torch for special occasions etc.

The observation deck is really cheap and the views are still great. It could be higher. I prefer vantages that are within or near the action than towering so far above it. I'm not interested in being able to see Simcoe/Barrie, for example.

In Montreal too, usually for the summer games and occasionally for the winter games.

Cool. I wonder if it's all voluntary or "preferred".
