Well it's important with this particular proponent as they neglected to build the park on their other development near McPhillips.

I think they ended up making a "park" in between two of the buildings.

"Park" as in "car storage" was the issue

Apologies if I missed it, but further to Vike's post about the residential proposal at Donald and St. Mary, I noticed the parking lot on the south east corner of the intersection is fenced off.

Hopefully the proposal at 119 Donald also gets built. Its a giant swath of surface parking but seeing two lots get filled in is progress.

I think it’s fenced off for the Best Western conversion to a Hilton. Someone feel free to correct me tho.

SE Donald and St. Mary is where vike's proposal is going... the hotel is at SW Donald and York, although who knows where that's at. Not exactly boom times for hotel proposals downtown right now with the Hyatt on Portage E. DOA and the Sutton Place apparently on long term hold.

The old Best Western conversion has been under process for a while. I haven't been by in a few weeks. But they had mostly finished ripping out the whole interior last I saw.

But the new proposed building is probably not a thing to spend time thinking about for a while.

The Hampton Inn is currently scheduled for a November opening, but that is verrrrry subject to change given the pandemic:

Adjacent Hilton Garden Inn - who knows?

This is GEM we're talking about? They like to be in court more than anything.

They were the ones who started whatever the development is called east of Fort Rouge Yard/BRT. Then swapped land for the Fulton Grove thing. That's how long they've been working over there. Like 2 decades. Which fair some of this takes time. People sit on land for ages. But they take forever.

They also rehabbed that apartment building downtown. Can't remember what it's called.

They were also attempting to rehab 44 Hargrave before it burnt to the ground. I am not sure if they were involved in the new building that up there afterwards.

Right.

They're entitled to run a business of course. But always seems like there's something going on in the courts or at least the news.
