The strings of lights ae not continuous - they're in 3 clusters.
The north side clusters look the same length.
The southern one is longer (spanning the walkway).

AFAIK they're waiting on the Granville Entertainment District planning process that starts later this year (a bit like the South Granville Station tower). They're not even finished demolishing the old building, so we've got time.

A great portrayal of Vancouver today juxtaposed beside it's past.

Actually, modular housing looks grander due to its larger scale and more attractive colours. This one looks a little better than those temporary trailers at Lower Mainland schools.

Why were they permitted to build this garbage? Anything approved should have matched the design and character of the original mansion. This city sucks.
