We should make it a thing where we celebrate significant towers topping out with a meetup. Beers for Big-🞵🞵🞵 Buildings

Now to that exciting height where each additional floor is a big deal. Hope they get 98 out of the ground before this tops out.

I'm celebrating when it hits 700'

An interview w/ George Blume on the design of the tower: https://atxtoday.6amcity.com/behind-design-sixth-guadalupe-austin-tallest-tower/

Not sure I've seen this rendering:

“The penthouse pool will be the tallest pool deck in the entire city, at 830 ft.“

I would guess in the entire state.

Actually, if he's correct, this may be the highest pool in the Western Hemisphere - surpassing Brooklyn Point's pool (at 680'). It's almost as high as the highest pool in the world, Dubai's Address Beach Resort (at 964').

Wow. I hope it is correct so we claim that title for a while. Impressive!

Looking good!

I am appreciating the fact that this building has a different look and shape from every angle. I also like the vertical dark stripes in multiple places breaking up the monotony.

the Genral · #**2397** Posted **Jan 22, 2022, 7:56 PM**

Does anyone know the floor count? I guessing 40ish??

You know that joke where an obese guy says he’s getting in shape and then pauses and the punchline is “round is a shape.”

This building has a different shape from every angle: boring from one, plain from another, bland from yet another, and uninspired from all.

Oh,Boy! You are asking for a cyber-thrashing. This building is the Holy Grail to a lot of folks, but you already know that. I am in complete agreement with you by the way.

It is a boring condo building stacked on a boring office building stacked on a parking garage. Meh.
