Here's a fun opportunity -- look at the viewcone / height limits map for the Burrard Building site at Burrard and Georgia St (Site of the future hypothetical 750' tower). Note that it will likely have a triangular floorplate, OR follow the Vancouver Viewcone Vertex style!
(Ok, Crowd, come up with a better name for it).
I would name it after the head planner of the day. Kind of like Toderian's Love Handles at Telus Garden.

Interesting that you've noted two Westbank projects there. Much of their other projects also being big swings and misses. Interesting to look at perhaps, but a huge post-completion fail.
Dang, you must be pretty chocked up that your views about to disappear.
Not that I think that existing views are something we should take too much consideration of especially when its known that there is the potential for future towers, but I'm sure its always a bit sad for existing residents to see their views go away.

Having been in the building, same suite, since March 1995, I have watched a lot of changes in view. One Wall, Addition, 1155 Thurlow, Wesley Place, The Palisades, Sterling, among others — all altering the landscape. If I am still here in another 10 years, the view down Burrard, over the St. Paul’s site, will be another world. And I live in hope the Butterfly looks as interesting in person as it does in its renderings.
You still have a good distance in front of you across Burrard St. and corridor views either side of The Butterfly. Plus, it'll be one of the prettiest buildings to look at.

Man it seems like this one is flying now that it's above grade. So many great buildings going up downtown at the moment. This one might be my favorite.
