I'm sure it's on a 737, but honestly, non-stop on a Q400 beats a connection on a pair of 737s anyday.

It has to be on a 737. I wouldn't take the illustration on a social media post too literally.

I know I know, it just struck me as funny.

Now if WS would only launch a route YQR-MSP direct...

So with this new covid testing on arrival and having to isolate until receiving test results, will we have to isolate in Calgary or Toronto for example or will they let us connect to our final destination before receiving results to be able to isolate at home? As usual another gov anouncment with very little information and planning.

Everything I've read and heard has said you will isolate "at home", which sounds quite informative to me.

Just got back from Central America connecting in Calgary, small percent of travelers are being "randomly" tested on landing, then you continue with your connection and are supposed to isolate at home until you get results, which they say could be up to 72 hours, even though a private PCR test is 12-24 hours and closer to 12. Also in literature provided, if by chance you never get your results then you have to isolate for two weeks. This is vaccinated people with no symptoms that were all tested one or two days before landing. Good job again, government.

At the start of the pandemic the process was you have to have a plan to self isolate that can include isolating at home. If that is not feasible (e.g., you live with others in the some household who are out and about) and you don't have another plan the authorities would arrange for you to isolate in a hotel.

For a short period they have everyone isolating in a government contracted hotel but dropped that when it become unfeasible.

FYI it took 58 hours for a travel companion to get test results.

I'm trying to book a flight on AC later this month (January 27) from YYZ-YQR. When I look for these flights it says there are no direct flights on that routing on that date.

According to the schedule it shows this should be operated by A220 twice daily. Can any one advise what's going on?

It depends which 1 your booking . On google flights✈️ schedule for Toronto YYZ - Regina YQR on January 27 still shows its 2x daily on Airbus A220 planes with only AC 1113 8:20am YYZ departure & 2pm departure YYZ AC 1115 available to YQR nonstop.

But if you’re booking anything other than those 2,the rest of AC YYZ- YQR are mostly connections through Calgary YYC similar to WestJet on this route.

Plus Air Canada timetable pdf effective January 13 2022 schedules is not too accurate as alot can still change, with the pandemic going on.

Examples: AC has cut back on some sun destination flights like on Toronto YYZ,Montreal YUL & Calgary YYC- Honolulu (HNL) Hawaii mid January - mid to late February.

There are two non-stop on that day.

You are searching the schedule timetable. However you want to actually search the booking engine at the top level page ( www.aircanada.com ). That will only show you flights that have space and can be booked. In pre-covid time for both Saskatoon and Regina it is not uncommon to see many flights fill up weeks ahead of time. Not certain how booked given the current situation. Nice to see the A220 on that route. It is the perfect aircraft for that route.

Totally true! I've been on it a couple of times and I really like it. Its the ideal equipment for YQR or YXE - YYZ. The CRJ is just a little tight for that long a route.

I think it must have filled up already. Just don't relish the idea of a late inbound into YYC and being forced to stay overnight when the connection is very tight. Ah well, will probably have to stay another day in YYZ if I can't find a direct option....
