^Man it’s nice to see some peaks & valleys in Vancouver’s skyline eliminating the tabletop effect.

Ottawa's skyline is so tabletop it's practically non existent that is almost unflattering in any picture of it unless taken up close. The street experience is good, and quite attractive in fact.. but photos taken from a distance like that one make it look extremely underwhelming. looks like it could be any old Canadian suburb. I know the reasoning behind the height limits in the CBD but I really hope that one day we'll see one or two tall ones downtown.. and I don't mean incredibly tall either, just tall enough to break the flatline downtown.

Over the next 10 years, hopefully, we should see a significant improvement. In that shot, Icon appears at the top, near the middle. It's relatively obvious that it is the tallest in the city. With several taller proposals around it, a few towers in the low to mid-30 range one station north at Corso Italia (Gladstone) and several towers in the 30s up to 65 floors at LeBreton Flats/Bayview, we should be adding three or four significant peaks from this angle.

One new tallest at 35 floors in the CBD might peak out slightly from this angle, but will have a significant impact from the north, west and south faces of the CBD (along with a slightly shorter 29 storey cousin within the same complex).

That site must not be very well secured if people can keep getting in there to put all that stuff on top.

Looks good though!

The site is actually quite secured. Even if the site was open there's no way to get all this stuff 15 floors up this old tower. Blown away.

Yes, great images and angles showing the departure from our old table top skyline.

The images are from August of 2020 so Vancouver's skyline has continued to beef up even more since then.

I hope the videographer can come back and do another video again sometime.

Glad they built that hill since most of North Edmonton is pancake flat. Such a great gathering/viewing spot!

Is that Canada Malting Plant? If so I heard it’s a dangerous climb. One could easily get serious injuries or die attempting it.
