Nice pictures! Where was the fourth picture (and others similar to it) taken from?

I love the colors and many of the older houses pictured here. I guess there is some similarity in styles in the American West/PNW, even with Vancouver, which is only a few hours away in fact by car.

those are from the top of Table Rock, which is a 900-foot mesa on the east side of town.

just about all of buildings on the left side of those photos are new or under construction. that whole area was nothing but empty lots, warehouses, and abandoned houses a few years ago.

nice shots

How about Boise to build a 60+storey office tower to break the current balance and harmony.

Thanks xzmattzx.

To add to what Boisebro posted, Table Rock has a rich history as being a sacred place for the Bannock, Paiute, and Shoshone Tribes. The river valley where Boise is located, was and still is considered sacred to the Native Americans.

Here is an interesting synopsis of Table Rock and the native history from Summitpost:
https://www.summitpost.org/the-early...le-rock/972595

To expand on the Native American history in the valley, here is a bit from this link:
https://boisefrontnature.com/chief-eagle-eye-reserve/
Quote:
At the end of summer, numerous groups would gather in the Boise Valley, coinciding with the abundant salmon runs that were also described by emigrants on the Oregon Trail.
Fur trapper Donald McKenzie described a gathering of 10,000 indigenous people in 1819, scattered along the Boise River for more than seven miles (in A. Ross, “Fur Hunters of the Far West”, 1855).

a new tallest would be nice, but a 60 story building will never happen. Boise's too small, and has too many NIMBYs that complain about anything over 3 floors.

the tallest current proposal for Boise is a 28 story condo, and the tallest proposal ever was only 31 floors.

i think a couple of 30-35 floor buildings and a 45 floor would be plenty for now, though that is unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Great pics! There is some really nice architecture there. I could see myself happily living there if I had to.

Beautiful city. So tired of left wing propaganda/vandalism, though.
