That 75% streaming increase is impressive and further shows the amount of people cutting cable

Apparently it was $7.95 to stream it on TSN. Which is unbelievable value. I streamed it but I am a monthly subscriber to the TSN app.

That's not bad. I've paid $6.99 for a day pass to stream the WHL and the production of those games is nowhere near as good as the CFL on TSN.

Enjoyed that article and it left me wondering why there aren't more like it. What propels some "content providers" to take the opposite attitude to what she took. It seemed like one of those columns that you see waxing eloquent about the NFL or like the poetry of NFL films. I guess her piece took some thought and work when it's so much easier for hacks to be lazy and critical. Very refreshing change.

She's a great writer. Multiple NNA award winner as Canadian newspaper columnist of the year. And yeah, she never takes the lazy out of just bashing and slamming things. As a Free Press subscriber I enjoy her thoughtful work on whatever she writes about.

Haha. I remember as a kid NFL Week in Review made a 7-3 game between the 1-9 Houston Oilers and 2-8 Detroit Lions seem like the Battle of Waterloo.

Truly masterful sports marketing and communications, it was.

Yup, like I always said, in the NFL that's a titanic struggle between two defensive juggernauts and in the CFL it's two crappy offenses.

We used to say that the NFL is a marketing company masquerading as a pro sports league.

You do gotta hand it to 'em - they are really good at it.

So instead you'd rather compete against Hockey Night in Canada Saturday? — the NFL, We're our own country, we shouldn't be skirting around our domestic events just to appease the few viewers of another country. I hate this Canadian inferiority complex we have going on here.

I miss having autumn regular season games on Sundays. Games are played mostly on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and Sunday games tend to be a rare exception. In the last "normal" CFL season of 2019, there was only one preseason and two regular season games played on a Sunday.

Maybe it's just a mindset thing but I feel like on Saturdays I'm always running around doing stuff while I have more time on Sundays. Sunday at 1 pm is a perfect time for football.

It is weird that those are for the most part long gone but the league still carries on with playoff Sundays.

A few years ago the CFL/TSN tried Saturday playoffs and the viewing numbers were horrible.

That's why people have to speak up and not put up with it. If you allow it, it only enables people to keep doing it.

CFL schedule was released today.

As always, you'll have some who love it and some who always have an issue with something in it. Can't please everyone I guess.

The 2022 CFL schedule is out...

https://www.cfl.ca/schedule/

Pretty unremarkable at least from a Bomber fan standpoint, although the season kickoff keeps creeping earlier and earlier. The preseason will be in late May/early June, and the season itself starts on June 9.

Couldn't have a parade this year due to public health rules, so instead there was a Grey Cup celebration last night at IG Field!

Gotta say, CFL sure got lucky with the timing of playing Grey Cup before more stricter conditions of lockdowns and limited capacities with Omicron variant making its way

Worried omicron will screw up season tickets drives this winter. Hopefully it goes away quick so they are free to sell tickets
