Cypress Equity Investments (CEI), a national multifamily developer headquartered in Los Angeles, has launched a new regional headquarters in Denver at The Circa Building, located at 1615 Platte St, Suite 200.

CEI’s Denver team is nearing completion on Revel, a 300-residence apartment community located near the 2nd Ave. & Abilene Station on Denver RTD’s R light rail line in Aurora and is looking to expand its presence in the fast-growing region.

In addition to the nearly completed Revel apartment community, CEI’s Denver regional office is in negotiations on additional multifamily sites across Colorado.

what are you looking for? pretty much anything in the original city grid is my turf, from 5th St to 40th St.

Probably good for the city's budget to have so much residential density near a shopping mall. If we look back at the past 10 years of development at Cherry Creek, it does make me wish that there were serious transit plans in place for such a high growth area. I know that Cherry Creek is bougie and probably doesn't even want more transit but the Speer/Leetsdale/Parker Blvd corridor is pretty dense for a great distance. Would love to see even a BRT between the Nine Miles Station and either Ball Arena, Civic Center Station, or Union Station.

You've had some good photos, especially of X2 and you provide some of the more useful updates. I didn't want that to come off the wrong way as it was least directed at you. As a group, it would just be nice to see more photos here of anything under construction or recently finished downtown or in the surrounding areas if people are out and about. I've been on the Austin page a few times and they seemed to have many more visual updates of projects. I would take more photos but I work from home, which is not downtown, and it is dark before quitting time. You and Ryan are great though.

^^It is absolutely amazing seeing development gravitate back toward our scarce water resources here in town. I can only imagine if Denver could rezone the entirety of both sides of the River from downtown north to northside park, how that may change our general orientation. Exciting things happening in Denver, despite our challenges.

The next water area that comes to mind is the parking lot mass along Water Street and particularly west of the Aquarium. It's owned by Ferretita and his Landry's chain. It's all CMU10 over there but could/should follow the RIver Mile stuff as far as density. I'm not sure it's a part of that effort, but it should be. That is killer real estate and the water line there is ideal, especially after River Mile improvements.

yeah I didnt take it negatively. If anyone is interested in photos of a specific development site in the downtown grid, let me know, I'm out walking my dog anyways.

Add in most of golden triangle which is walkable to speer and there is some real density. Methinks golden triangle may eventually become Denver's densest neighborhood.

Gone is the retail area for departing passengers, the render now shows escalators going directly down to the trains from security on level 6 all the way to level 4.

That's been in the plan for a while. Even this Denver Post article shows the escalators from level 6 to 4 back in November 2020.

1900 Lawrence lot is now closed to parking. A sign is up saying under new ownership as of Dec 14th and any remaining vehicles will be towed. Some fencing starting to go up on the perimeter.

I had monthly parking in this lot and am in process of obtaining a refund. I spoke with Hensel Phelps person onsite this morning and they will begin preliminary site work after the holidays with a groundbreaking in March.

That's awesome news! Having three 30-plus story towers going up in 2022 is not something that I would have expected a year ago.

Its looking likely we will have 7 towers under construction in the same close vicinity surrounding Arapahoe Square within two years.

Completion of XD2 - 250 ft
Tower 1 Amacon - 400 ft
Tower 2 Amacon - 350 ft
1900 Lawrence - 400 ft
Kenect Denver - 250 ft
Tower 1 Golub/Rockefeller -400 ft
Tower 2 Golub/Rockefeller -400 ft

Unlike other 'proposed' buildings, these projects have serious money already invested, land purchased, demolitions done or commencing, not to mention active project files with the city of Denver. Obviously no guarantee, but things are definitely pointing in the right direction.

There is also the Evolve Towers in the "proposed" status in this same area. I'm still skeptical about this one, but it would add another two towers (250ft each) bringing the total to NINE towers with overlapping construction timelines and a HUGE cluster of seven to twelve tower cranes at peak.
