It needs some love with parts/furniture sometimes very worn or dated but needs to retain its character. I don't need to go to an airport lounge there.

Absolutely is needs to remain its historic character - and pictures of Confederation. It has been the very soul of the hotel - and the hotel does not need open heart surgery ... leave it alone. Thats is what I told them.

Coldrsx, what happened with the Westrich presentation at Council? Were they not asking for a parking lot extension for 10 years - or have I got the projects mixed up?

Correct but also approval of the project.

It was referred back to Administration.

^The sunset clause extension and request for non-accessory parking I believe were turned down or referred back to admin to work with Westrich to remove.

I’m not sure where to post this question as I couldn’t locate a ‘real estate’ thread specific to Edmonton, but is there some sort of chart out there that shows annual home prices in Edmonton over the last 20+ years. I’d like to see how much house prices have gone up (or down) over the years.

What are the Parkview towers? Don't think I've ever seen those proposed.

I believe that's where they demolished El Mirador.

Yeah, I'd say around 120 - 125m, so slightly taller than the Pearl, which is still not bad at all for the shorter of the two towers.

I hope Council continues to push back on these types of requests.

.more midrises getting full scale tower cranes
.more luffing jib cranes

I really hope we continue to develop empty lots and continue at a good pace with filling in downtown
