They should be connecting Alaska Street to Beta Ave. It now ends at Alpha Ave. That might be a reason for removing trees to make room for new road.

Last I heard it was 89 storeys I believe. Going to block my view of Costco

Not sure if this was the "final" version but saw this in the development permit for Lumina. Concord Brentwood Phase 2 has similar wording.

It will be:

3 storeys for ground-oriented townhouses fronting Beta Avenue and Alaska Street
Eclipse (was previously named Garden) 32,34 or 37 storeys for apartment building fronting Alaska Street. I believe, based on latest renderings it will be 32 floors.

Completed: Starling 28 storeys for apartment building fronting Beta Avenue
Completed: Waterfall 39 storeys for the high-rise apartment building interior to the site
Completed: Observatory 24 stories for the high-rise apartment building fronting Alpha Avenue

Seems like the progress has slowed a bit.

It also looks like the developer is marketing the final tower as if it's a standalone project to get away from the bad PR of the first two Lumina towers. It will be interesting to see how it sells.

I just received their sales package and there is no mention of an overpass over the train tracks. I went into their sales centers a few times when they were selling the first tower and they were marketing this heavily. Seems pretty shady! I wouldn't buy from this developer.

How did they get away with such a horrific superblock? 3 towers on a cul-de-sac in 2021? The Waterfall tower is completely landlocked, without even a pedestrian connection to go anywhere other than east lol what madness.

At minimum, a development of this scale should've funded an extension of Alaska St AND and a pedestrian underpass connecting to the Costco at the foot of Alpha Ave

To be fair, the train tracks are CN property so the developer has nothing to do with an overpass other than paying their portion to the City to put one in.

I agree this is terrible planning. Going to be a complete shit show. Not sure why the city would allow this
