Also, if we're gonna draw a line in the sand and say the traffic is too bad, then that also rules out any kind of mixed-use development on the Tribune site as well. The site is really very close to the Blue Line and the city has a good plan to build a transitway as well. Why are we letting traffic be the deciding factor here when there are clearly alternatives? Anybody who sits in traffic on Halsted is an idiot when CTA already provides plenty of alternatives and will provide even more in the future.

However, we need to be realistic. I think the aim is to draw a good deal of suburbanites and out-of-towners to the casino, those who are PT averse. Plus, I'll see it when I believe it regarding the city actually building out the Lincoln Yards transitway. It makes all the sense in the world, but completely new PT lines seem like a hard time coming in this town.
Perhaps the transitway could be worked by having on/off ramps onto the feeder looks like a bug of an eyesore with rather tight logistics to make it work.
I just think that the PT AND potential auto access is superior to all the sites other than the Tribune site.
