I'm surprised the cascade has still not gone up, especially in this housing shortage. Is it a few years away? Any possible alterations to its appearance?

Top three images are now almost complete or topped out already. The middle 4 buildings are all in some stage of planning and process and basically a guarantee at this point. The bottom 4 seem very solid as well moving forward. That’s pretty incredible for our little town. I figure that will be a legit 10 new towers from 2020-2026. Probably more. What a nice time to be a development admirer!

Let’s hear some new rumors you guys have been hearing about if you can share. Even vague details are appreciated if there is even a small chance it might happen.

So far, a rumor list would include the lot east of harmons, the APS lot, and the cascade at this point. Anyway other tid bits of information I’m missing??

I think someone said the Cascade will potentially start once 95 state is complete but I’m not sure.

We can put the PEG building west of the DA as potential/probable. I forgot about that one

The other recent news that Blah's graphic doesn't capture is that the Regent Street tower has probably gained a few floors. Looks like 30+ and 375 ft+ to me now.

I think I'm most excited about getting more details on the new West Quarter towers. That to me has the potential to be the most transformative project in the city right now (other than the Rio Grande Plan ), both in terms of the huge affect on the skyline and the walkability/activation of downtown in general.

Worth mentioning that the architect for WQ Phase II appears to be Dwell Design Studio (who also did the theatre tower and CINQ) and not HKS as might be expected based on Phase I.

I wish they'd go with the original concept for the Cascade:

I would love to see the Cascade be built at this original height, but the question still remains if the podium was built to handle the extra height above 21 floors. It was lowered to the 21 floors and then 99 West was given additional height.

Didn't Property Reserve have a gentlemen's agreement with Boyer/Cowboy that it would not build residential until Liberty Sky was finished?

Now that Liberty Sky is near completion, hopefully PR will move on Cascade or the other lot east of Harmons.

I've just been wondering; when the prison opens in Salt Lake, will that be an immediate boost of almost 2k in population for Salt Lake City?

Fun fact, Boyer was originally supposed to make the Liberty Sky property commercial, but changed last minute most likely due to 95 State's proposal.

I really liked the office tower proposal. Hopefully Boyer keeps these plans and builds a taller version of this tower at some point in the future!

Especially with the circus with the Millennium Tower in SF. I could see existing owners in the lower floors being concerned.

The theatre tower? All indications right now are that it's moving forward as planned. It passed design review awhile back and and the city just completed the land transfer to Hines last week.

That's the design that was approved. Here's the city's open house page with more information:

Backwards on that. Boyer is 95 S. State. Liberty Sky is Cowboy Partners.

Saw a photo on the SLC subreddit showing The Carlton Hotel on South Temple was demolished today.

95 S. State is not being developed by Boyer. It's being built by City Creek Reserve Inc. which is a for-profit arm of the LDS Church.

If only the deranged theater tower group would direct that energy to protecting buildings like the Carlton...

As cool as the Cascade project is I would be really sad to see the Key bank tower go too
