^Twelve lanes wide, with a GO train tunnel in the centre. Target 2074 completion.

That's too long. 2044 is a better date.

I could get it built by 2035 if that casino I have in mind gets built in the middle of Lake Ontario.

Next time, whenever someone mentions taking the toll of 407, I’m going to robotically remind them that many of us are willing to pay that price.
407 gets busy, particularly in summer. Sometimes I can see it when I take the 403 before getting off at Dundas Street.

So, you are dragging your heels on approving it?

Not enough are, especially the thru trucks.

^There'll be more gold plaques than those lining University Avenue hospital row walls! Got $5000 to donate to my cause and your honour is ensured for the next hundred years.

Winter usage seems low IIRC. Summer’s busy enough (without the trucks) that more vehicles will give ETR more reason to jack up the price.

It appears all Highways to the west coast are now closed with multiple mudslides and washouts. Large sections of the Coquihalla are wash away between Merrit and Hope.

Also the Mallahat is closed because it is a river now.

Highway 93 the TCH alternate is closed due to heavy snow and numerous trucks spun out.

and all we are going to get is a pultry 20cm of snow tonight.

I saw a video of the Malahat "river" Not sure how it overflowed as it is close to the ocean. I am talking within 100m at the lower areas. The higher areas are right beside sheer cliffs.

The fact that the Malahat is the only real connection between Victoria and the rest of the island is a joke.

The fact that damaged bridge can stop E-W traffic in Canada makes the situation on the island seem normal.

Yeah… a lack of redundancy is a common thread throughout Canada.
