Drove by this morning and it looks like they are moving light construction equipment on site for Palmtower and there were about 15 construction personnel on-site a well. This is about ready to move

Also, Lamar Johnson has a very nice updated detailed rendering of Palmtower. Looking pretty good.

Nice! Time to change the title of this thread? I see it and barely care about the overall renovation to the center (I think it's done anyway), then realize there are Palomar Tower updates.

I think it's titled appropriately as Arizona Center Development. I'm sure there will be more developments to come such as the theater remodel, development on the North parking lot, etc. to warrant the title.

Is there a thread for Palm Tower? If not maybe there should be for that project. Always nice to see individual project threads get bumped from time to time.

Agreed. Might be time for Palm Tower to have its own dedicated thread.

It might be nice to hold on to this thread just in case AMC Theaters ever gets redeveloped or the remaining parcels get some traction going. But I just may be biased since I created this thread lol

There's also an electric trailer parked on the street just in front of APS, but I don't know if this has anything to do with Palm Tower. Either way, I'm betting we see action very soon

Sure. Found it it circularized cases (and then check the PDF):

When I found that, I also found this for Astra in proposed cases:

https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/sea...=displayOECase&oeCaseID=427951249&row=19

How is this different from the circularized case that was completed back in May 2020?

I really think Arizona Center would be a great place for the Meow Wolf project. Last I could find is they were looking for 75k square feet for an art exhibit and 10k for a performance center. I’m guessing they are looking for their own building tho. With the news that Lifetime Fitness would be moving into Scottsdale Fashion Square I can’t help but think they would near ideal for Lifetime location either in a movie theater location or that empty lot next to it.

I just visited Area 15 where Meow Wolf is in Vegas a couple weekends ago. Pretty cool place and something like this in Downtown Phoenix would be fantastic. Not sure if there are building of this size in Downtown however. Area 15 was built inside an old warehouse and it is pretty big. Meow Wolf by itself could probably work in AZ Center though. It would definitely be a big draw.

Although having a Meow Wolf would be fun to add to the area, I think Arizona Center needs a bit more foot traffic. With all of the new residential towers going up, all the new residents might be drawn to something like a Target for all of their daily living needs.

Arizona Center seems to have a lot of vacant space that a Target could easily fill.

I think for a mall experience and entertainment are a better draw than a target, but there is enough wasted space between the mall, movie theater and empty lot that you could do a lot of things.

Im actually quite surprised more basic retail and fast food hasn't gone in to AZ center, I know a lot of the apartments are still under construction but with ASU dorms and all the apartments there has to be a need for your standard boring chains and AZ center is perfect for all of it.
