Mostly the same stuff that Feathered Friend presented from the application update but here is Daily Hive's take on it:

Daily Hive article on revised application

How will this development go? "After ten years and twenty-three revisions a two storey replacement for the Broadway and Commercial Safeway is approved. Retail on the ground floor and 9 units on the second storey." ??

Are they really suggesting taking lane(s) out of Broadway to have a stupid median? How idiotic is that, creating a new and totally unnecessary bottleneck on a major arterial? This city is run by idiots...

The proposed towers are also so ugly that ai am actually opposed to them. Something way better should go here or nothing.

No, they're not taking a lane away. There's already a median outside Safeway.

I think the crazy thing is not whether they could be taking a lane out or not but that we believed taking out a lane is something the city might realistically try.

Meanwhile the working people who pay for this crap via inflated housing costs are forced deeper into Coquitlam and Surrey. At least they can take a peek at the beautiful new centrally-located homes they paid for as they ride the SkyTrain in from the suburbs.

well CoV will be making West Broadway 2+2 lanes from about Main St going west after Broadway Subway opens; so it is very believable.

On the very right-of-way that already features the widest sidewalks in the city. F you, CoV.

West of Main St? The sidewalks are very narrow.

in the last photo.

look at the loser riding his bike .... on the sidewalk. in that crammed of an area. what a selfish prick to say the least.

typical Vancouver biker. too scared to ride on the road and happy to endanger everyone on the sidewalk.

it is very tight in that area now as a pedestrian with the South side of the sidewalk closed.

On Burrard and Drake, the bike path and sidewalk was merged into one shared lane for about a month with a construction sign "cyclist disembark here".
I didn't see one cyclist do that, they just rang their little bell and plowded through

that called the "Vancouver Ride"

my favorite is the losers who have the full on bike regalia .... high end bike, specialized pants, shirts and shoes, etc .... YET STILL RIDE ON THE SIDEWALK.

some of the biggest douches of all time.

but the biggest of them all is the people who RIDE THEIR BIKES ON THE SIDEWALK NEXT TO A DEDICATED BIKE LANE.

I like to think Satan will take special care of them when they make it down to hell sooner than later

Yeah I'm primarily a pedestrian these days and bikes piss me off a lot more than cars. I have no trouble telling them off though.

I see most of the cyclists who flout rules cycling on walkways are food delivery people. If anything, blame it on the lax law enforcement of this city. Many of these e-bikers (or e-anything) are new immigrants who don't know any better: should be taught a lesson for all rule flouters to learn.

Even though they are extremely annoying, at least they haven't killed anyone yet, unlike motor vehicles on the road.

There was a thread on Reddit today about several trades and construction companies not offering their services in Downtown anymore because of traffic, lane removals and parking being so hard to come by. I was really happy to read people in trades specifically highlighting exactly the recent green policies as the reason. Downtown will soo have no businesses as supply trucks will stop delivering there. Then the CoV idiots can truly enjoy their car-free and commercially dead utopia.

tell that to the senior who died a few years ago on the Canoe Bridge by Olympic Village after being clipped by a cyclist riding over what is 100% meant for pedestrians only.
