Health and Housing are indeed provincial jurisdictions.

Surprised that on one had posted this yet.

Global Transportation Hub sues Brightenview for $3M in back rent

https://leaderpost.com/business/glob...m-in-back-rent

I'm shocked - shocked, I say, that Brightenview would ever behave in a manner that isn't impeccable...

I agree capacity needs to be addressed. There particularly needs to be a place for addicts to get help and shelter at the same time. There likely is some capacity as the Mayor said but it does not fit the exact need.

Just wanted to say, and I have been thinking about this a lot: I want a tower built downtown sometime soon for goodness sakes. Even a 5-10 storey. Residential? Office! Hotel! ANYTHING!!! Lol

You are incorrect.

There are no real plans for any major downtown tower.

The former site of Dutch Growers has officially sold and there were people doing line-locates there the other day. I know there was that Bloom Development posted 20 or so pages ago that was to be put on this property. Does anybody have any more information on this?

Here's a link to the ICR concept plan: LINK

Hill Tower I sign boxes

I don't know if anyone has noticed yet, but as I had predicted a few months ago, the three sign boxes at the top of Hill Tower I have been replaced by glass panels (both spandrel and vision) that match the existing glass. The cap plates just need to be installed, and once done no one will even know that there were large signs up there. It looks good. Take my word for it. LOL It would be nice if someone is downtown and could take-and-post a few pictures.

I believe he is also on the board of the Regina Catholic School Division. The Brescianis are often overlooked compared to say, the Hills or the Semples, but they have their fingers in a lot of Regina's activities.

As an aside, I saw some kind of work being done (maybe just cleaning it out?) on the old Tony Roma's on South Albert—anyone know if that place found a new owner?
