Although, to be fair, the parking lot under construction will be in the center of the block, with no street front presence. The city plans mid rise mixed use developments on all the lots surrounding the parking lot.

That's really odd. Looking at that photo, I'm fairly certain that the house shown being demolished is on the east side of Acadie (civic number 237-239), next door to Home Hardware, across from the existing Promenade 9 building. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Now, Promenade 9's website has a graphic indicating phase 2's location will be on the west side of Acadie, a few doors down from phase 1. They've also had a big sign advertising phase 2 on that lot for a while.

So, assuming phase 2 will indeed be on the same side of the street as phase 1, any idea what Quest have in mind for the now-vacant lot shown in the photo? It's worth noting SNB shows lots 237-239 and 253 both being sold on September 2 of last year. Phase 3 perhaps?

Yeah, I was a little confused by that photo too, but since it appeared on Quest Capital's official Facebook page, I assumed it had something to do with Promenade Neuf phase 2. Maybe I was mistaken in this assumption.

49 Nathalie has been topped off at six floors. The tower crane has been removed.

So, it would appear that we are (temporarily) down to five full tower cranes currently operational in Moncton. I suspect we will jump back up to seven within the next couple of months.

There's something afoot for the decaying Pizza Delight location on Champlain Street.

There is a request for variance before Dieppe PAC regarding PIDs 00668467, 00668574 and 70253257 on Champlain Street, and on Olivier Street immediately behind, to change the type of materials that can be used on a facade (aluminum panels), to reduce street frontage on Champlain from 75% to 32%, to allow parking fronting on Olivier Street, and to reduce the required distance for a garbage storage area along the side lot line.

As usual, Dieppe is being very circumspect as to what the destiny of this lot will be, and there are no supporting documents, but I would guess that there is a new commercial plaza on the way for this bit of land.

So, this indicates serious intent to begin construction on the second Mezza location in greater Moncton, this one in Dieppe.

The note states that the RFP is for "construction of a commercial building", therefore I expect we are not talking about conversion of an existing CRU in a retail plaza. If this is indeed new building construction, I presume this means that there is a high likelihood that they are looking at the Dieppe Blvd area.

I wonder if this location will include a drive thru like the one nearing completion on McLaughlin Drive? That location will be the first store in the entire chain to feature a drive thru.

They are beginning to do site prep for new construction on the last vacant lot on the north side of Ferdinand Blvd in the Dieppe Industrial Park (next to Sysco). anyone have any ideas what this is for???

Anyone know what's going on at 502 Acadie (the land for sale behind the apartment building on Sunset). Seems like the house that was on the land there was torn down sometime last week. Rumor I heard is that the land was owned by Aris Vautour.

Unfortunately Dieppe tends to be a black pit as far as development information is concerned (at least compared to Moncton, Riverview and even Shediac). We will keep our ears pricked however.

In the context of Dieppe being French and not overly open to their developments, I say it's a perfectly fine observation. Can anyone take a joke anymore?
