I agree. More international AND domestic non-stops are needed. It sucks to have to go through multiple layovers to make a trek that is normally a 2 hour direct flight, which then can take all day.

Yeah covid has really messed things up. I don't have specific numbers off hand but Alaska is really leaning on Seattle as they come out of the air travel recession, so they'll have like 8 direct flights a day to Boise, while we get one. We have to connect through Seattle to get to ridiculously close places. The local demand is there. Hopefully Alaska will realize that, especially with the expansion of Alaska's B gates, and focus more on pdx as a hub. SeaTac is reaching a saturation point, and eventually you gotta look at what you're putting your passengers through to get anywhere. Probably just a matter of time.
