175 Park passes the city planning vote, on to the city council (where I believe it will pass as well).
9 in favor, 1 opposed.
And might I say the one in opposition's reason for his opposition was dumb at best.

Thanks for posting it. At What minute does the analysis of 175 Park start?

No idea. It's the very first thing they talk about, and it doesn't last very long. Just a quick "time to vote on 175" and then they vote and move on. I actually quite like that, thought it would be a lot more boring.

It was beyond dumb, and he should be embarrassed.

Here's where we stand:

Quote:
Adoption of a CPC report approving, modifying or disapproving an application requires an affirmative vote of seven commissioners. If the Borough President has recommended against an application for site selection, disposition of city owned property or acquisition and has recommended an alternative site pursuant to the fair share provisions of the Charter (section 204), then nine affirmative votes are required. CPC then files copies of its decision with the City Council.

Condensed version of the vote....

City Council gets 50 days, so not sure at the moment.

Some of the commissioners were very happy to approve this, as they should be.

Okay thank you. Someone wanted to know and I couldn't remember whether I knew of an actual date or not.

And yes they should be happy, frankly I'm surprised we got a proposal as good as this.

The Council keeps a calendar as well...

The City Council now has from Oct 19 - Dec 7. An early Christmas present will be this tower’s final approval.

I, too, would be very happy to approve this.

I would be even more happy to be the first to throw a brick through the old building to start demolition. RXR should consider auctioning them off.

Now that would be too sweet.
