Advance62 - those are some beautiful Kitchener shots, love the composition and interesting perspectives you shared.
Also can’t get enough of River Landing - what a gorgeous development, and thanks for the Saskatoon pic Echoes - probably the best Toon set we’ve seen on here, but then again, I believe I said that with the last set, lol. Also those Toronto and Montreal pics really are great, they seem fresher or stand out in a more subtle way, not sure why - probably great curation and variety.
Sharing a slice of downtown Victoria through the eyes of condo for sale, an overhead plane perspective and new proposals that will really extend and beef up this section of Old Town.
First, sharing pics of this condo for sale as it places the outer edge of this area in good context. Pics from

So, it’s the middle building in the middle, until a few years back it was a non-description modern office building, but converted to condo overlooking historic Market Square.
View looking back towards the heart of downtown:
View looking towards the Johnson Street bridge and the cranes are new condos being built at Dockside Green and just to the right of the bridge is a shipyard - the big thing wrapped in white tenting is a ship undergoing painting no doubt.
My picture from this summer taken on the bridge looking towards the shipyard and Dockside Green:

A busy shipyard, as you can see in these Flickr pics from Gary Hoyer, here’s a massive coal loader they built that was being shipped over to the lower mainland:

Also looking back to the old town section of Victoria you can see a parking lot to the left of the bridge as of March 2020

My pic from this summer, where excavation is nearly done for condos and they’re extending the public walkway. Love how the condo next door has kayak/canoe access right from their underground parking

. Not too many downtown condo across Canada where you have that amenity, lol.

There’s a lot built out here already - great little area, but that’s for another day. Here’s what the new buildings above will look like from

Directly adjacent to dockside is an updated proposal for Roundhouse area on the Songhees, calling for 2,000 rental units. From

In this bottom left two large developments have been proposed, one now approved. First the proposal which is mixed use (condo, rental, commercial, light industrial and potential new main art gallery) from Reliance Properties and has strong support as a marine science/tech/innovation hub type thingy (pics taken from the
City of Victoria Development Tracker):

The recently approved proposal is this block long redevelopment replacing random low value buildings:

And finally, forgot about this one, which was one of the most controversial proposals of the decade, taking over a decade and countless revised submissions, is Reliance Propertie’s Northern Junk. A ‘restoration’ or building over of two early 1860’s gold rush era warehouses that we falling apart. This is also located right beside the Johnson Street bridge. Actually if you look at the first pic of the coal loader going by the bridge, it’s at the far left, exactly in the middle vertically. Pics from
